Leavenworth, Unfiltered: What to Do, Sip & See

Since 2017, we've had the pleasure of serving thousands of tourists visiting Leavenworth, a charming Bavarian-themed town just 2.5 hours east of Seattle. With stunning views of the Cascade Mountains, shopping, delicious food, wineries, breweries, carriage rides, hiking, Oktoberfest, and more, there’s something for everyone to enjoy here.

Our family-friendly Front Street tasting room is open seven days a week for tastings, sparkling flights, frosés during the summer months, hot mulled wine during the fall and winter months, food and wine pairing experiences, live music, and more. Enjoy the grandeur and beauty of the mountains from our patio and inside our tasting room with your four-legged friends, too!

So, how do you decide what to prioritize on your week-long vacation or a one-day visit to this lovely town? Our Leavenworth team has put together this guide with recommendations and favorites to help make your planning a little easier. Here, whatever the season, there is always something to do. Prost!

Pro-Tip: If you plan to visit for Oktoberfest, get your tickets as soon as possible! This event sells out every year.

Places to Eat: Leavenworth is home to many outstanding restaurants. Ensure your spot at any of these favorites is reserved by making a reservation as soon as possible.

Wineries: Wine tasting in the heart of Leavenworth is an experience you won’t want to miss! With several wineries to choose from, including our own, guests will have no problem finding something to please their palates.

Breweries: You can't go wrong with either of these family-friendly craft breweries if you're a beer fan.

Activities: In addition to the many things to do downtown, there are plenty of activities to do outside the city as well! Here are some of our favorite Leavenworth activities you can enjoy with the whole family.

Shopping: What’s a vacation without a little retail therapy? Explore the many shops and boutiques all across town, including clothing, Christmas year-round gifts, home decor, children’s toys, pet stores, outdoor shops, and much more.

Lodging: You won't regret staying in one of these wonderful hotels or inns! We are proud to be the official winery of the Post Hotel and Enzian Inn. Our friendly Leavenworth team will ensure your Patterson favorites and jcoco chocolates are waiting for you in your room upon arrival! Cheers to great wine, gorgeous accommodations, and relaxation! Give us a call to place your order at 509-888-5629.

Oktoberfest Activities: Pull out your dirndls and lederhosen! Oktoberfest is returning to Leavenworth and it’s an experience you won’t want to miss. Every year, thousands of visitors come to enjoy German beer, talented musicians, dancing, beautiful fall foliage, and a bratwurst or two. This year, the event will be spread out into two fully programmed venues in Leavenworth Festhalle and Front Street Park. Take in the breathtaking views of the Cascades with our hot spiced mulled on our patio. This family recipe is a customer-favorite and is available exclusively in the fall and winter. Prost!
